Richard Tillquist, M.D., has had advanced training in both general laparoscopic surgeries and minimally invasive bariatric surgery. He began performing weight-loss surgeries in the early-1990s, and when it became the primary surgery offered in his practice in the late 1990s, he started Colorado Bariatric Surgery.
Since that time, Dr. Tillquist has performed more than 1,300 Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgeries and more than 340 adjustable gastric band procedures. Today, Colorado Bariatric Surgery offers a comprehensive program that includes pre-operative education and evaluation, surgery at Swedish Medical Center, a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, monthly follow-up appointments, free support groups and a knowledgeable, compassionate staff. |
