She loves me, others are so vain, and so on and so forth. I keep reminding her-- this has nothing to do with vanity, but my shrinking ability to walk and stand. I'm going to start the process again with Dr. Tillquist. PREVIOUS posts are from 2004. . . . . . 1/5- I called to Dr. Bell's office. First things first-- his office verifies WLS is a plan benefit prior to consultation. Good idea-- saves a lot of time, I bet. Everything they asked for, I faxed this afternoon. I even faxed a copy of my plan benefit book which shows gastroplasty is a benefit.

I have 4 children under the age 11, so anyone can obviously see my sense of urgency in the matter of weight loss. I don't want to miss out on their childhood any longer. Every person that I came across in the hospital asked who was doing my surgery. When I told them, the response was always the same, "He is such a nice man, I have Never seen him angry or annoyed." His office staff was really nice to work with and very serious about your care. If I had to do it all over again, I would definately go with Dr. Tillquist!

I like to read, listen to music, watch movies, do crafts and anything else that peaks my interest. 8/28/06 I am 6 days post-op and I'm still a little sore , but adjusting. have lost 12 lbs so far. I go for my 10 day check up on 9/1.

As of 10-26-05, I was down to 184. That is 205 pounds in one year. I am wearing size twelve jeans, and size 18 shirts (to hide the flappy skin). I have moved home to Michigan to be closer to family and am having a great time. 6-30-05 Well, it just keeps getting better. I am down 175 lbs. I am at 214. I am wearing size 16 jeans right now and enjoying every bit of this new life...... Click here to read more Comments About Richard Tillquist M.D.: Dr. Tilquist has saved my life twice. Once with Gastric Bypass and once when a GI doctor punctured my esophagus. He is generous and caring and always has time for me. I would never go to any other doctor. I liked Dr. Tilquist very much. He was my 2nd surgeon, I had seen one in the Springs first and was very comfortable with him. So, I was very nervous about how I would feel about Dr. Tilquist. I am very happy with him. The consultation was great and I am confident in his abilities. Aftercare is huge to him. You have to go back once a month for a full year to see him. I appreciate that.

Too busy enjoying life! I'm now down 150 lbs. from 278 to 128, wearing jeans from size 10 to size 5!! Yes, size 5!!! I can't hardly believe it either! What a great feeling.
